Job Title: Criminal Defense Associate Attorney

Duties:

• Advise clients on legal rights and prepare necessary legal documentation related to their cases.
• Represent clients at pretrial hearings, advising them on strategies following each hearing.
• Handle court appearances, trial preparation, motion drafting, witness interviews, and legal research.
• Evaluate case outcomes by analyzing legal precedents.
• Manage multiple criminal defense cases simultaneously.
• Provide legal analysis and insights to assess potential case benefits for clients.
• Gather additional evidence to strengthen the client’s defense or challenge the prosecution's arguments.
• Prepare clients for depositions by determining case strategy and gathering relevant information from witnesses and experts.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in criminal defense.
• Experience handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.
• Strong ability to collaborate with other attorneys and legal team members.
• Preferred bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in California.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing abilities.
• Effective case management and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice.
• Proficiency in criminal defense litigation, including trials, hearings, and negotiations.
