Job Overview

A mid-sized law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Attorney to join its Portland, Oregon office. This full-time, hybrid position is ideal for a self-motivated legal professional with a background in real estate and business law, who also has litigation experience. Location

  • Portland, Oregon

Duties

  • Handle matters related to real estate law, including transactions, commercial leasing, title issues, easements, HOAs, and CCRs

  • Provide legal counsel on business law matters such as entity formation, contracts, and corporate governance

  • Represent clients in litigation across relevant areas of law

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents and agreements

  • Manage a caseload with minimal supervision

  • Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders

  • Participate in business development and manage client relationships

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate and/or business law

  • Proven litigation experience (required)

  • Experience with case management and billable hour structures

  • Ability to independently manage caseload and contribute to firm growth

  • Willingness and ability to originate or bring in clients is a plus

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Admitted to and in good standing with the Oregon State Bar

Skills

  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

  • Proficient in managing both transactional and litigation matters

  • Excellent time management and organizational capabilities

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to also work independently

  • Strong client service orientation and communication skills
