Job Overview:
A respected law firm located in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a highly motivated Employment Litigation Associate Attorney. This role involves defending and litigating employment-related claims, providing strategic advice to employers, and representing them in various legal settings such as court, mediation, and arbitration. The ideal candidate will have experience in employment law and a commitment to delivering exceptional legal counsel to clients.

Duties:

• Represent clients in the defense of employment-related lawsuits and administrative charges, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination.
• Advise and counsel employers on workplace issues, including compliance with labor and employment laws, workplace policies, and best practices.
• Participate in and manage cases through litigation, including mediation, arbitration, and class/collective actions.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to create solutions that support business objectives while ensuring legal compliance.
• Assist in the development and presentation of training programs for employers on labor law topics.
• Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.

Requirements:

• A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• A minimum of 2 years of legal experience, particularly in employment law, is preferred.
• Active membership in the Maryland Bar, in good standing.
• Strong understanding of federal and state agency procedures and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex litigation matters and a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Maryland Bar.

Skills:

• Litigation and dispute resolution experience, particularly in employment law matters.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Proficiency in case management and client communication.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
