A law firm located in Boca Raton is seeking a Patent Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in drafting patent applications. The ideal candidate must be eligible to be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Bilingual proficiency is preferred, and Federal Court experience is a plus.

 

Duties:

  • Draft patent applications and prosecute patents before the USPTO.
  • Conduct patentability searches and provide opinions on patentability.
  • Assist clients in patent portfolio management and strategy.
  • Advise clients on intellectual property matters, including patent infringement and validity.
  • Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and scientists to understand inventions and technologies.
  • Provide legal counsel on licensing agreements, technology transfers, and IP litigation.
  • Conduct due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and investments involving intellectual property.
  • Stay updated on changes in patent laws and regulations.

 

Requirements:

  • Eligible to be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Bilingual proficiency preferred.
  • Federal Court experience is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience with drafting patent applications preferred.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the Bar in the state of practice.
