A respected law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Medical Malpractice/Litigation Group. Attorneys in this team work closely with highly distinguished professionals in the field and engage in a variety of legal activities, including case preparation, depositions, trial support, and motions hearings. Location:

  • Baltimore, MD

Duties:

  • Defend healthcare providers in medical malpractice lawsuits and Board of Physician matters
  • Manage and prepare cases for trial
  • Take depositions and prepare witnesses for deposition
  • Attend mediations and participate in motions hearings
  • Perform legal research and writing
  • Participate in other court-required conferences and proceedings
  • Collaborate with a team of highly experienced attorneys

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Maryland, or MD Bar admission pending
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to professionalism and congeniality

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Bar license in Maryland or pending admission

Skills:

  • Legal research and writing
