Tax Associate Attorney

A law firm in Washington D.C. is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of M&A tax experience. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing legal counsel on tax matters related to mergers and acquisitions.

Duties:

• Advise clients on tax implications and strategies related to M&A transactions.
• Conduct due diligence on tax aspects of potential transactions.
• Draft and review tax-related documents, including agreements and disclosures.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Keep abreast of changes in tax regulations and provide proactive advice to clients.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience as a Tax Attorney with a focus on M&A.
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the Bar in Washington D.C.

Certifications:

• LLM in Taxation is a plus.
