Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Billings, MT, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of top-tier law firm experience. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research and writing skills, along with the ability to work in a team environment.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and participate in all aspects of litigation, including hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and development.
• Manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Montana or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
• 2-4 years of experience in complex commercial litigation at a top-tier law firm.
• Strong academic background with a high GPA.
• Practical law school experience such as law review, law journal, moot court, or trial advocacy team is preferred.
• Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of Montana or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
