Job Overview: A law firm in New York City, NY, seeks a Senior Advertising Marketing and Promotions Attorney. Duties:

• Draft and negotiate ad agency, influencer, celebrity endorsement, sponsorship, online media buying, and other marketing and promotion agreements.
• Review advertising copy for false advertising, claim substantiation, intellectual property (IP), and right of publicity issues.
• Provide counsel on contest and sweepstakes compliance.
• Advise on price advertising and recurring subscription programs.
• Offer guidance on loyalty and rewards programs.
• Address issues related to false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division dispute work.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to resolve complex legal matters related to advertising and marketing.
• Stay current with industry trends and advertising and marketing law developments.

Requirements:

• Substantive experience in advertising law, consumer protection law, and marketing transactions.
• Proven track record of drafting and negotiating various marketing-related agreements.
• Experience with false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division dispute work is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent academic credentials with outstanding legal writing and communication skills.
• Experience working in a large or medium-sized law firm setting is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission.
