A law firm is seeking a Shareholder-Level Corporate Lawyer for its office in Des Moines, IA.

Job Overview:

The Shareholder-Level Corporate Lawyer will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal counsel and support to clients in various corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, contracting, and general corporate issues. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of front-line deal-making experience, excellent client management skills, and the ability to handle sophisticated transactions.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on complex corporate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on corporate law matters.
  • Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for legal inquiries.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm on multi-disciplinary projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (J.D.) from an accredited institution.
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience practicing corporate law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, contracting, and general corporate matters.
  • Strong academic background with excellent academic credentials.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage a heavy workload.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Eligible for waiver into Iowa or willingness to sit for the next Bar exam.
