Entry-level Criminal Defense Attorney

A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Criminal Defense Attorney to join its team in Las Vegas. Duties

• Advise clients on their legal rights and draft necessary legal documents related to their cases.
• Represent clients during pretrial hearings and provide strategic guidance following each session.
• Conduct court appearances, manage trials, draft motions, and interview witnesses.
• Perform in-depth legal research to support case strategies and assess likely outcomes based on legal precedents.
• Organize and manage a caseload effectively to ensure timely resolution of matters.
• Gather additional evidence to build strong defenses or refute prosecution arguments.
• Prepare clients for depositions by identifying key case goals and gathering testimony from witnesses and experts.

Requirements

• Demonstrated interest in criminal defense law, with experience gained through law school clinics, internships, or volunteer work.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission (recent graduates awaiting bar admission may also be considered).
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to strategize and collaborate with colleagues.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred but not required).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
• Familiarity with case management software is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Member of a state bar in good standing (Nevada preferred).
