A law firm in Miami is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate must possess excellent academic credentials, courtroom, and deposition experience, along with strong communication, drafting, and research skills. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and other complex commercial litigation cases.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Prepare for and participate in court hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Analyze legal issues and provide strategic advice and counsel to clients.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and client management.
  • Manage case files and ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated on developments in commercial litigation law and relevant legal trends.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Florida or eligibility for admission by motion.
  • 3-5 years of experience practicing commercial litigation.
  • Excellent academic credentials, including law school rankings and academic awards.
  • Proven courtroom and deposition experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional drafting and research skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.

 

Preferred Certifications:

Certification in commercial litigation or related fields is advantageous.
