Insurance Cyber Coverage Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City is seeking an Insurance Cyber Coverage Associate Attorney with 3-7 years of experience in cyber insurance coverage and monitoring to join its growing cyber team. The ideal candidate will represent insurance companies in monitoring cyber claims, handling coverage disputes, and advising on various coverage matters.

Duties:

• Represent insurance companies in monitoring cyber claims.
• Handle coverage disputes and advise insurance companies on a variety of coverage matters.
• Analyze coverage issues and draft coverage opinions.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and other court documents.
• Conduct discovery in insurance coverage litigation and other commercial litigation.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Draft settlement agreements and handle appeals.
• Attend depositions and court conferences.
• Provide superior research, writing, and communication.

Requirements:

• 3-7 years of cyber insurance coverage and monitoring experience.
• 3 years of law firm insurance coverage and litigation experience.
• Strong litigation background.
• Experience analyzing cyber insurance policies and other relevant contracts.
• Ability to handle all phases of the litigation process, including drafting motions, pleadings, initial disclosures, discovery demands, discovery responses, and other court documents.
• Experience in mediation, arbitration, and/or trial is beneficial.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York.
• Additional licensure in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Delaware is a plus.
