A law firm seeks an associate attorney with 2-4 years of experience to join its growing Bankruptcy, Receivership, and Creditor Remedies team in Irvine. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation, particularly in creditors' rights, bankruptcy, and commercial landlord/tenant matters. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth in a collaborative legal environment.

Duties:

  • Handle commercial litigation cases, with a focus on creditors' rights, secured creditor remedies, and bankruptcy.
  • Represent clients in receivership matters and commercial landlord/tenant disputes.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery materials.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and provide counsel to clients.
  • Participate in court proceedings, hearings, depositions, and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams on complex commercial litigation cases.
  • Manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial litigation, particularly in bankruptcy, receivership, and creditor remedies.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Bankruptcy clerkship experience is a plus.
  • Experience working at an AmLaw 200 firm is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California, in good standing.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting complex legal documents and managing discovery.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
