Job Title: Personal Injury Trial Attorney

Job Overview: A prestigious law firm in Metairie, LA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney. The ideal candidate will bring strong courtroom experience and a passion for advocating for clients. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic legal team, with full support from both local and remote staff. The attorney will manage cases from start to finish, including all aspects of trial preparation and litigation.

Duties:

  • Handle personal injury cases from intake through settlement or jury verdict.
  • Lead case development, including strategizing and managing all phases of litigation.
  • Engage in client communication, providing guidance and support throughout the legal process.
  • Conduct depositions and represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings.
  • Draft and respond to motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff, both locally and nationwide.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal rules of civil procedure and evidence.
  • Maintain a successful trial practice, demonstrating effective first-chair trial experience.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation.
  • Proven track record of successful first-chair jury trial experience.
  • Active membership and good standing with the Louisiana State Bar.
  • Strong understanding of Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Louisiana.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
