A law firm in Hartford is seeking a Trusts and Estates Attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in drafting wills and trusts, as well as handling estate administration matters.

 

Duties:

  • Draft wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents for clients.
  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies and tax implications.
  • Handle estate administration matters, including probate proceedings and trust administration.
  • Assist clients with incapacity planning, including drafting powers of attorney and healthcare directives.
  • Provide legal guidance on wealth preservation and asset protection strategies.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other professionals involved in estate planning and administration.

    Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience drafting wills and trusts and handling estate administration matters.
  • Strong understanding of estate planning principles and tax laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  •  

    Education:

    Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

     

    Certifications:

    Admission to the Bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

     

    Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting wills, trusts, and estate planning documents.
  • Experience in estate administration, including probate and trust administration.
  • Knowledge of estate tax laws and wealth preservation strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
