A law firm in King of Prussia, PA, is seeking a skilled Healthcare Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist in the defense of medical malpractice cases, bringing 2-5 years of experience handling catastrophic casualty cases or medical malpractice/healthcare cases.

Duties:

  • Assist in the defense of medical malpractice cases, including preparing and arguing motions, conducting depositions, and participating in court proceedings.
  • Review and analyze medical records, case files, and evidence to build strong defense strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and provide legal counsel.
  • Conduct legal research and draft briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and prepare for trial as necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical malpractice laws and healthcare regulations.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience handling catastrophic casualty cases or medical malpractice/healthcare cases.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of medical malpractice defense and healthcare law.
  • Ability to handle complex cases with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar is required.
