A law firm in Melbourne is seeking a highly skilled Senior Projects and Construction Associate Attorney to join their team. The role involves assisting clients on a variety of front-end matters and large-scale projects with a strong focus on energy transition. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in energy, construction, and project matters, strong client liaison skills, and excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.

 

Duties:

  • Assist clients on a range of front-end matters and large-scale projects, emphasizing energy transition.
  • Advise on and draft various project documentation, including project development and construction delivery documents.
  • Manage work streams on large domestic and international projects.
  • Liaise with clients and actively participate in negotiations.
  • Assist with business development and marketing initiatives.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a front-end construction or projects practice.
  • Experience assisting on a range of energy, construction, and project matters.
  • Strong client liaison skills.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution.

 

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in Victoria.

 

Skills:

  • Extensive experience in front-end construction or project practice.
  • Knowledge of energy transition and related legal matters.
  • Effective client liaison skills.
  • Strong analytical and drafting abilities.
