Duties:

  • Represent employee organizations in traditional labor matters.
  • Participate in collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Handle grievance arbitrations and resolve labor disputes.
  • Manage and file unfair labor practice charges.
  • Draft and submit petitions for recognition.
  • Handle various administrative matters related to labor and employment law.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding labor and employment issues.
  • Stay updated on changes and developments in labor and employment law.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on cases and projects.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of experience in labor and employment law.
  • Experience or strong interest in representing employee organizations.
  • Proficiency in handling traditional labor matters, including collective bargaining, grievance arbitrations, and unfair labor practice charges.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage petitions for recognition and other administrative matters.
  • Excellent writing and research skills.
  • Strong work ethic and superior academic record.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.

 

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Ohio State Bar, in good standing.

 

Certifications:

Active membership in the Ohio State Bar Association.
