Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate loan documentation for commercial lending transactions.
  • Review title and survey documents to ensure compliance with financing requirements.
  • Thoroughly examine due diligence materials to identify any potential legal issues.
  • Provide legal counsel on construction and development financing projects.
  • Offer expertise in revolving lines of credit and alternative financing mechanisms.
  • Explore opportunities in low-income housing tax credit financing and tax-exempt bonds (a plus).
  • Work collaboratively with the legal team to address client needs and deliver top-notch legal services.
  • Maintain accurate and organized legal documentation for client files.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Minnesota State Bar or eligibility for admission within a reasonable timeframe.
  • 2-3 years of practical experience in commercial lending transactions.
  • Strong familiarity with construction and development financing.
  • Knowledge of revolving lines of credit and alternative financing mechanisms.
  • Exposure to low-income housing tax credit financing and tax-exempt bonds is advantageous.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Minnesota State Bar or eligibility for admission within a reasonable timeframe.
