Job Overview

A growing law firm is seeking a dedicated full-time Elder Law Attorney to join its Estate Planning and Elder Law practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in advancing their career in the areas of estate planning, elder law, probate, trust administration, Medicaid, and guardianships. The position offers an opportunity to grow within a recognized and established firm. The role provides a collaborative work environment and the chance to develop expertise in these specialized legal fields. While a book of business is preferred, it is not required for consideration.

Duties

  • Provide legal advice and representation in the areas of estate planning, elder law, probate, trust administration, Medicaid, and guardianships.
  • Draft, review, and edit estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Manage complex legal issues involving elder law and estate planning for clients.
  • Assist with the administration of trusts and estates.
  • Provide superior customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Participate in marketing and business development activities to grow the practice.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to deliver high-quality legal services.
  • Stay updated on developments in elder law and estate planning to provide current and relevant advice.
  • Manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in elder law, estate planning, or related fields is preferred, but less experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • A book of business is preferred, but not required.
  • Licensed to practice law in Indiana.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a variety of legal tasks and client needs effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Indiana.
