Job Overview

This position involves providing comprehensive legal guidance in healthcare regulation, data privacy, and compliance for clients operating in the digital health sector.

Duties

  • Counsel clients in healthcare and life sciences industries, particularly digital health companies, on regulatory, compliance, and data protection matters.
  • Advise on regulatory frameworks, including HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging artificial intelligence and healthcare laws.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review contracts and documentation related to healthcare transactions and compliance.
  • Assist clients with healthcare fraud and abuse law issues, including compliance with Stark Law and anti-kickback statutes.
  • Lead and manage multiple regulatory projects independently, ensuring deadlines are met.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare regulatory or life sciences law.
  • Demonstrated expertise working with healthcare providers, technology companies, or digital health organizations on compliance issues.
  • Proven ability to handle complex regulatory frameworks and provide proactive solutions to clients.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Bar membership in California or eligibility for California admission.
