Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm, based in Plantation, FL, is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their team. The role presents an exciting opportunity for an attorney with 5-7 years of litigation or collections experience to manage a busy caseload and contribute to the firm’s continued growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, exhibit attention to detail, and have the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a high-volume setting. Bar membership in Florida is required.

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of litigation for the firm’s Florida practice.

• Represent clients in hearings throughout the state of Florida.

• Mentor and guide junior attorneys and support staff.

• Develop and implement strategies to resolve cases efficiently and effectively.

• Review conditions precedent to filing actions, including documents, financials, and notices.

• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and correspondence to initiate legal actions.

• Maintain accurate records in internal systems, including findings and recommendations.

• Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in all legal matters.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections.

• Manage contested cases, including conducting discovery and representing clients in trials.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience in litigation or collections.

• Must possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Proficiency in using office technology and legal software.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Active Bar membership in Florida.

Certifications:

• Bar membership in Florida is required.
