A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their team in Dallas, TX, focusing on nursing home negligence cases. Duties

  • Draft and file legal documents related to nursing home negligence claims.
  • Respond to and prepare written discovery requests.
  • Draft and answer motions as needed for case progression.
  • Assist with depositions and participate in mediations.
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses and review relevant documents.
  • Contribute to case preparation, supporting efforts towards resolution or trial.
  • Consult with potential and current clients to gather information and provide guidance.
  • Conduct legal research to support case development and strategy.

Requirements

  • Active Texas Bar License.
  • At least 1 year of personal injury law experience (preferred but not required).
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
  • Solid communication and legal writing skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Valid Texas Bar License.

Skills

  • Experience in personal injury law is preferred.
  • Litigation experience, including depositions and motions (preferred).
  • Ability to review medical records and work with expert consultants.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
