Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of definitive and ancillary documents related to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Manage the entire deal process, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of transactions.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for clients during transactions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates, providing guidance and oversight to support their professional development.
  • Handle day-to-day demands on a variety of mergers and acquisitions related matters, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of legal services.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends to provide informed advice to clients.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of mergers and acquisitions experience, with demonstrated expertise in leading transactions.
  • Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex legal documents with precision and efficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • High degree of maturity, business sense, and professional judgment.
  • Experience in managing internal and external client relationships, with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas, or eligibility to waive in.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working in a large regional, national, or international law firm.
  • Exposure to a wide range of corporate transactions and legal issues.
