Business Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Sacramento, CA, seeks a skilled Business Litigation Attorney to join their litigation team. Duties:

• Work daily with the litigation team to solve complex legal problems for clients.
• Draft persuasive legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Participate in law and motion proceedings, including hearings and oral arguments.
• Prepare for, take, and defend depositions of parties and witnesses.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research using various resources.
• Propound and respond to discovery requests by procedural rules.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on case strategy and development.
• Manage multiple cases and prioritize workload effectively.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.
• 2-5 years of experience in business litigation, with a strong understanding of civil litigation procedures.
• Bankruptcy experience would be advantageous.
• Highly motivated and responsible with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Creative thinker with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and the court.
