Job Overview:

Duties:

• Provide legal advice to clients regarding their rights and options in criminal defense cases.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents relevant to case proceedings.
• Represent clients during pretrial hearings, trials, and other court appearances.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft motions.
• Interview witnesses and collaborate with expert consultants to gather supportive evidence.
• Prepare clients for depositions and hearings while devising case strategies.
• Analyze cases using legal precedents to assess potential outcomes.
• Collaborate with legal assistants and other attorneys within the firm.
• Handle federal court cases effectively, ensuring compliance with all procedural requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in criminal defense law.
• Proven experience managing complex criminal cases at both state and federal levels.
• Strong team collaboration skills, including the ability to strategize with colleagues.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of California.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in federal court.
