Duties

• Manage insurance defense cases, focusing on bodily injury, employment, and other related matters.
• Handle civil litigation from start to finish, including taking depositions, arguing motions, attending hearings, and preparing for trial.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, striving for favorable resolutions.
• Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and strategic advice.
• Prepare and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, providing support and insight on complex legal matters.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and client expectations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in insurance defense, specifically in bodily injury, employment, or related areas.
• Proven ability to handle civil litigation cases through trial, including depositions, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
• Strong ability to manage cases independently, with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present legal arguments clearly and effectively.
• Motivated, self-starter with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a remote work environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Must be licensed to practice law in Nevada (required).
