A law firm in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney with 7-10 years of relevant experience. The candidate will handle a diverse caseload involving personal injury cases such as construction accidents, medical malpractice, automobile accidents, and municipal liability claims. Strong knowledge of the law, excellent writing and research skills, and the ability to draft legal documents and conduct depositions are essential for this role.

Job Duties:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury cases, including construction accidents, medical malpractice, automobile accidents, and municipal liability claims.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze legal issues related to personal injury matters.
  • Draft a variety of legal documents daily, including bills of particulars, summons & complaints, motions, and other legal writing assignments.
  • Prepare for and conduct depositions of witnesses and experts.
  • Attend court appearances and hearings on behalf of clients.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff on case strategy and client representation.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • 7-10 years of experience in personal injury law, with a strong emphasis on construction, medical malpractice, automobile accidents, and municipal liability cases.
  • Excellent writing and research skills.
  • Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
