Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is looking for a skilled and driven Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in Miami. The ideal candidate will bring 3-6 years of hands-on experience in litigation, demonstrate exceptional legal acumen, and possess a strong work ethic. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-level cases while working with a collaborative and dynamic team.

Duties:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters, including preparing pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial documentation.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and hearings, ensuring the firm’s interests are effectively advocated.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, settlement agreements, and other critical filings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy, while advising clients on relevant legal issues.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to strategize and implement case plans.
  • Prepare for trial, including case preparation, organizing exhibits, and coordinating witnesses.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on case developments and managing client expectations.
  • Assist in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes when applicable.
  • Maintain comprehensive case files and ensure all deadlines and procedural requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-6 years of litigation experience, ideally in a law firm setting.
  • Proven track record of handling complex litigation matters from inception to resolution.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with an ability to present arguments persuasively.
  • A proactive approach to legal challenges, coupled with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Florida Bar is preferred. Must be willing to become admitted to The Florida Bar if not currently licensed.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
  • Strong litigation and trial preparation skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • Exceptional negotiation and client management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
