Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of litigation experience, with a strong background in employment law. This role involves defending and litigating lawsuits related to a wide range of employment claims, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and contract disputes. The attorney will represent employers in various legal settings and provide advice on labor and employment laws. Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with the ability to multitask and manage projects efficiently, are essential. Active admission to the Georgia Bar or the ability to obtain it quickly is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration.
• Handle employment matters including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete cases.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to employers on a wide range of labor and employment laws and regulations.
• Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on employment law issues.
• Manage and coordinate all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Stay informed about current court and agency procedures, both state and federal.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of litigation experience, with a strong background in employment law.
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Active Georgia Bar admission or ability to obtain admission quickly.
• Understanding of current court and employment-related agency (state and federal) procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork, with the ability to work independently on various projects.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:
