Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in family law, probate, and estate planning matters.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis relevant to cases.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including estate planning documents, pleadings, and agreements.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediations.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements to resolve disputes amicably.
  • Oversee and supervise junior attorneys and support staff as required.
  • Stay current with changes in laws and regulations impacting family law, probate, and estate planning.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Illinois.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in family law, probate, and estate planning.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in case management, document preparation, and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis).
  • Ability to independently manage a diverse caseload and handle multiple cases simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Illinois Bar.
