Associate Attorney with 1-2 years of experience in immigration law

A law firm in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 1-2 years of experience in immigration law. The candidate will be responsible for drafting legal documents, motions, briefs, and appeals, as well as preparing cases and attending hearings and USCIS interviews. Supervisory responsibilities over assigned paralegals and strong communication skills with clients and courts are essential for this role.

Job Duties:

• Draft and prepare legal documents, motions, briefs, and appeals.
• Prepare cases and attend Master and Individual calendar hearings, USCIS interviews, and NY State Family Court proceedings.
• Supervise the work of assigned paralegals.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with clients and courts.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Manage case files and maintain organized documentation.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and client representation.
• Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.

Requirements:

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in the state of New York.
• 1-2 years of experience in immigration law.
• Excellent organizational, research, and writing skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with USCIS interviews and Family Court proceedings is preferred.
