Duties

  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation

  • Represent clients in litigation, including trials and hearings
  • Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations, particularly in family and criminal law
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of case activities and communications

Requirements

  • Proven experience in family law and criminal law
  • Strong legal research skills and familiarity with legal research tools
  • Experience drafting legal documents, contracts, and pleadings
  • Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients
  • Familiarity with tribal law regulations (preferred, not required)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Valid Bar license in good standing in the state of practice
