Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney with extensive litigation experience to join its legal team. This role involves managing cases from initiation through resolution, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in depositions and hearings. Duties

• Oversee and manage litigation cases from inception to resolution

• Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and legal briefs

• Conduct in-depth legal research and case analysis

• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and court proceedings

• Assist in trial preparation and execution

• Develop legal strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the judiciary

• Ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines

• Maintain organized case files and documentation

Requirements

• 5+ years of litigation experience

• Strong understanding of personal injury, property damage, construction defect, and workers’ compensation law

• Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks efficiently

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in New Mexico
