Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Anchorage, AK, is seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic team of trial lawyers. The ideal candidate will handle a diverse caseload focusing on all aspects of criminal defense and demonstrate strong research, writing, and communication abilities.

Duties:

• Manage a personal caseload encompassing various aspects of criminal defense litigation.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and legal arguments.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients when advantageous.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar membership in Alaska or eligibility for admission by reciprocity.
• Proven litigation experience, preferably in criminal defense.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
