A law firm in Salem, OR, is seeking an Attorney with a diverse legal background to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience practicing law with a background in one or more of the following areas: general business, real property, estate planning, probate, and trust administration. This role offers an opportunity to work on a variety of legal matters and provide comprehensive legal services to clients.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and representation in general business matters, including contracts, corporate governance, and compliance.
  • Assist clients with real property transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leases, and title issues.
  • Draft and review estate planning documents, such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Handle probate and trust administration, including managing estates, filing necessary court documents, and resolving disputes.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare detailed legal memoranda and reports.
  • Negotiate and draft contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court and during legal proceedings related to business, real property, estate planning, probate, and trust matters.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and communication.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar (Oregon preferred).
  • Experience or strong interest in one or more of the following areas: general business, real property, estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Effective communication and client service abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Oregon State Bar (preferred).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in handling legal matters related to business, real property, estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legal principles and practices.
  • Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
