A law firm seeks a Senior Counsel to join its team in Little Rock, AR. This position requires an experienced attorney with a strong background in mortgage foreclosure and collections. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional legal acumen and a commitment to client support while managing a substantial caseload in the field of creditor's rights.

Duties

  • Oversee and manage a significant volume of mortgage foreclosure and collections cases, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Represent clients in court appearances and hearings, effectively advocating for their interests.
  • Engage in discovery practices, including depositions and conflict resolution, to resolve legal issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with junior attorneys and staff to foster a supportive and productive work environment.
  • Assist in appellate matters, providing strategic legal insight and expertise.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by participating in marketing initiatives and community outreach.
  • Exhibit flexibility by potentially covering after-hours cases and attending court appearances as needed.

Requirements

  • Must hold membership in good standing with the Arkansas State Bar.
  • Licensed to practice in the AR federal district and bankruptcy courts, or able to obtain licensure promptly.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in mortgage foreclosure and collections law.
  • Familiarity with TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate the Arkansas state legal system effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Arkansas State Bar is required.
  • Additional Bar licenses are a plus.
