Job Overview: A prestigious law firm, based in Miami, FL, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury & Maritime Attorney to join its team. This opportunity is ideal for a professional with 10–15 years of experience in personal injury and maritime litigation. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload from intake to trial, working either independently or alongside senior attorneys. Strong research, and writing skills, and familiarity with both federal and state court rules are essential. Prior trial experience and fluency in multiple languages are highly desirable.

Duties:

  • Manage and litigate a caseload of personal injury and maritime cases from intake to resolution.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare persuasive legal documents, including motions, briefs, and discovery responses.
  • Attend depositions, hearings, and trials, representing clients effectively.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters and case strategy.
  • Provide exceptional client communication and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Handle negotiations and settlement discussions with opposing counsel.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal procedures, federal and state court rules, and statutes.
  • Mentor and guide junior attorneys and legal staff when necessary.

Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of experience in personal injury and maritime law, with a proven track record of handling cases independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise legal documents.
  • Extensive experience with federal and state court procedures.
  • Proven trial experience, including taking cases to verdict.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to handle client relationships professionally.
  • Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English) are a significant plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

  • Excellent research and writing capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of personal injury and maritime law.
  • Proficient in managing complex case files and client communications.
