A law firm in Berkeley Heights is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience in employment or commercial litigation. The candidate will be responsible for defending and litigating a wide range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination, advising and training employers on employment and labor law issues, and representing employers in various legal settings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials, a strong employment law background, and be admitted to the New Jersey Bar in good standing.

Job Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
  • Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues.
  • Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration.
  • Handle employment matters including class/collective actions and cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete agreements.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare for depositions, trials, and hearings.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and legal advice.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff on case strategy and management.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in employment or commercial litigation.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • Current admission to the New Jersey Bar in good standing.
  • Employment law background strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
