Job Overview

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Litigation Attorney to join a dynamic and fast-growing team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of personal injury litigation cases, including court appearances, client negotiations, and case resolutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a passion for achieving the best outcomes for clients.

Duties

  • Analyze evidence, including medical records and investigative findings, and interview clients and witnesses.

  • Research statutes and case law relevant to each case.

  • Prepare legal documents, including briefs, motions, pleadings, and other correspondence.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to determine case strategies and solutions based on thorough analysis of plaintiff and defense positions.

  • Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management meetings as necessary.

  • Resolve cases to achieve the best possible outcome for clients through mediation, arbitration, and trial.

  • Mentor junior attorneys and support their professional development.

  • Participate in marketing initiatives such as podcasts, blogs, and advertising campaigns.

Requirements

  • Active member of the North Carolina Bar Association required.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in personal injury litigation preferred.

  • Proficiency in writing, legal research, negotiation, and public speaking.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills.

  • Experience with Needles Neos Case Management Software is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar.
