A law firm seeks a Senior Associate Attorney to join its team in Miami, Florida. This position is ideal for an experienced attorney specializing in probate, guardianship, and estate planning. The successful candidate will have a strong background in these areas, as well as extensive litigation experience, to effectively serve clients in navigating complex legal matters related to incapacity and end-of-life planning.

Duties:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of both standard and complex probate, guardianship, and estate planning cases.
  • Represent clients in litigation matters related to probate and guardianship.
  • Provide expert advice on estate planning, including wills, trusts, and related legal issues.
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff to foster professional development.
  • Maintain effective and timely communication with clients throughout the legal process.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective case strategies.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in probate and guardianship law.
  • At least 4 years of experience in estate planning.
  • Proven litigation experience in probate and guardianship, with detailed examples of cases worked on, including pleadings prepared and arguments made.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active admission to the Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective client engagement and team collaboration.
  • Capacity to manage a full caseload with minimal supervision.
