Duties:

• Represent clients in criminal defense cases, primarily first-time offenders and misdemeanors.
• Review and negotiate prosecutor offers, striving for optimal outcomes for clients.
• Drive to courthouses within Maricopa County as needed for in-person appearances.
• Conduct remote client consultations via Zoom, providing case updates and guidance.
• Produce client update videos to keep clients informed about case progress.
• Collaborate with a supportive legal team handling case preparation and administrative tasks.
• Track productive hours and completed tasks using Clio software.
• Ensure timely and professional court appearances.
• Deliver substantive case updates to clients to maintain clear and open communication.

Requirements:

• Comprehensive knowledge of Arizona criminal law.
• Ability to handle a full caseload of criminal defense cases.
• Motivated, client-focused, and adaptable to new legal strategies.
• Strong time management skills to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for task completion and client interactions.
• Comfort with using technology, including Clio for task tracking and Zoom for remote consultations.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Arizona and in good standing.
