Job Overview: A distinguished law firm is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to represent a range of clients, including lenders, investors, financial institutions, and businesses, across various legal fields. This role involves hands-on experience in real estate, banking, corporate law, and litigation. Candidates recently admitted to the Georgia Bar or awaiting admission are encouraged to apply. Duties:

Real Estate Law:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, leases, and related documents
  • Conduct due diligence for real estate transactions, including title searches and property assessments
  • Advise clients on zoning, land use, and environmental regulations

Banking Law:

  • Counsel clients on banking regulations and compliance matters
  • Prepare and review loan agreements, security documents, and financial instruments
  • Represent clients in negotiations and disputes with financial institutions

Corporate Law:

  • Advise on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and business structuring
  • Draft and review corporate documents, including bylaws, shareholder agreements, and partnership agreements
  • Conduct legal research and offer strategic advice on corporate transactions

Litigation:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
  • Conduct legal research and prepare for trials, hearings, and depositions
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution

General Responsibilities:

  • Stay current on relevant laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members to provide comprehensive legal services
  • Manage multiple cases and projects, ensuring timely and effective client service

Requirements:

  • Licensed attorney in good standing in the state of Georgia, or recent law graduate with Georgia Bar application in process
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive, self-starter attitude with a commitment to client service
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, attorneys, and team members in a collaborative, team-oriented manner
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active or pending license to practice law in the state of Georgia
