Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a skilled Real Estate Associate Attorney/Special Counsel with a strong background in commercial real estate transactions and leasing. The ideal candidate will have substantial "dirt" experience and exceptional academic credentials.

Duties:

  • Handle complex commercial real estate transactions from inception to closing, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence, review title reports, and draft necessary transactional documents.
  • Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients regarding real estate matters.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of transactions and leases on behalf of clients.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure timely completion of projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience practicing commercial real estate law in a law firm setting.
  • Significant experience with "dirt" law, including leasing, land use, and real property transactions.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC, or eligibility for waiver.
  • Proven track record of handling complex real estate transactions independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications (if applicable):

  • Admission to the Washington, DC Bar or eligibility for waiver.
