Criminal Defense Associate Attorney

Location:

• Phoenix, Arizona

Duties:

• Advise clients on their legal rights and draft legal documents related to their cases
• Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide post-hearing legal strategies
• Manage court appearances, trials, drafting of motions, witness interviews, and legal research
• Analyze potential case outcomes based on legal precedents
• Manage the workload of assigned criminal defense cases
• Provide legal analysis to determine potential case benefits for clients
• Gather additional evidence to support client cases or counter prosecution charges
• Prepare clients for depositions and develop case strategies by gathering information from witnesses and expert testimonies

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of experience in Criminal Defense Law
• Experience handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels
• A team player with a collaborative approach to working with fellow attorneys and legal staff
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Arizona
