Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Intellectual Property Litigation team. Duties:

• Led and managed patent prosecution and litigation matters, including case strategy, discovery, motions practice, and trial proceedings
• Prepare and file motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents
• Conduct depositions and manage expert witnesses
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on case development
• Supervise junior associates and paralegals on assigned matters
• Assist in preparing for PTAB proceedings
• Provide strategic input and legal advice to clients regarding IP litigation

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in intellectual property litigation
• Strong experience in briefing, motions practice, and case management
• Experience in PTAB or trial proceedings is highly preferred
• Proven ability to manage cases and supervise junior staff
• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the USPTO is preferred
• Active license to practice law in North Carolina or ability to become licensed

Skills:

• IP litigation experience, especially in patent cases
• Knowledge of patent law and related regulations
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Ability to handle complex legal research and writing
• Client-focused with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion
