Commercial Litigation Lawyer

Job Overview: A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join their team. The ideal candidate will handle various commercial litigation matters, from case inception to resolution, in a fast-paced legal environment.

Job Duties:

• Drafting and preparing various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conducting legal research and analysis on complex factual and legal issues.
• Managing all aspects of discovery, including electronically stored information (ESI) and document productions.
• Taking and defending depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Representing clients in hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
• Developing case strategies and advising clients on litigation risks and potential outcomes.
• Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management and client service.
• Maintaining accurate and timely billing records.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas and active membership in good standing.
• 5-6 years of experience practicing commercial litigation in a law firm setting.
• Demonstrated experience handling complex litigation matters from start to finish.
• Excellent academic credentials with a solid academic record.
• Exceptional analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
