A law firm is seeking a General Litigation Associate Attorney for their New London office. The General Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in various legal proceedings, including but not limited to trials, hearings, and arbitrations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, exceptional communication skills, and a dedication to providing high-quality legal services.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on issues relevant to ongoing cases.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  • Manage caseload and deadlines efficiently.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and development.
  • Stay informed about developments in relevant areas of law.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing of the Connecticut Bar.
  • Eligible for immediate admission to practice before the U.S. District Court.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience in litigation.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent oral advocacy abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to professionalism and client service.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Connecticut Bar.
  • Eligibility for immediate admission to practice before the U.S. District Court.
