Mid-level IP Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Mid-level IP Litigation Attorney with extensive experience in intellectual property litigation. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in all aspects of IP litigation, from pre-trial through post-trial processes, and will possess a technical background in a relevant field. Duties:

• Handle all phases of IP litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial activities.
• Draft and file pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
• Manage discovery processes, including serving and responding to discovery requests, addressing discovery disputes, and working with clients on discovery issues.
• Prepare and argue motions and appeals.
• Depose witnesses and handle document discovery with e-discovery tools.
• Manage arbitration proceedings and assist in trial preparation and execution.
• Collaborate with clients to develop strategies and provide legal counsel.
• Engage in business development activities to contribute to the firm's growth and success.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IP litigation, with at least 3 years of required expertise in all aspects of litigation.
• Demonstrated experience drafting pleadings, handling discovery, arguing motions, deposing witnesses, managing e-discovery, and participating in arbitration and trials.
• Strong technical background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering, electronics engineering, or a similar field.
• Professional demeanor with a dedication to attention to detail and client relations.
• Experience in a team-oriented environment and a commitment to maintaining high professional standards.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering, electronics engineering, or a related field.

Certifications:

• California Bar admission and USPTO admission are strongly preferred.
