A law firm seeks a talented and motivated Privacy & Cyber Litigation Associate to join its team in Southfield, MI. The ideal candidate will bring 2 to 5 years of hands-on litigation experience, specifically in privacy and cybersecurity law. Duties:

  • Oversee day-to-day management of litigation matters, ensuring smooth progression of cases.

  • Assist with the management of larger, more complex projects, collaborating with senior attorneys and team members.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant litigation experience, particularly in privacy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Ability to handle smaller cases independently and contribute meaningfully to larger projects.
  • Experience with drafting litigation documents and performing legal research in complex matters.
  • Strong communication skills, with a capacity to negotiate effectively and represent clients' best interests.
  • Must be licensed and in good standing in the state of practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state bar where the position is based.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, analysis, and writing skills.
  • Strong verbal communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Skilled at managing litigation workflows and working autonomously on cases.
  • Experience with privacy-related statutes, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), is a plus.
